Meet in Bethlehem at checkpoint 300, Bab Ezqaq, or Manger Square. From here we drive 30 -45 minutes to Rashaydah (south east of Bethlehem) in the desert, with some stops to appoint archaeological sites from the ancient history.
Our hike begins at Rashaydah, walking toward the Dead Sea overlooking a breathtaking valley and ends at Yishai Observation Point over Ein Gedi (4 hours walking with some breaks). At the end we will enjoy a picnic lunch and a tea break.
In the afternoon, we travel through the desert in a 4-wheel drive vehicle with a stop on the way back to the Bedouin tent for tea. Our bus heads back to Bethlehem around 3 pm.
Please bring good hiking shoes, sunglasses, a sun hat, sun screen, a small or medium backpack, drinking water (2 liters), snacks for lunch, and plenty of your good mood!
To sign up, please contact Hijazi by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at +972 599 523 844.
We look forward to hiking with you!
